Friends Scheme

We are very grateful to the members who have supported MCS over many years. Looking ahead, we felt the time was right to launch a new Friends Scheme, with a different structure, to ensure that we continue to thrive as a flourishing musical society. For this reason, the current membership scheme has been brought to a close.

However, our continuing success can only be guaranteed if we have the material means to match the spiralling costs. Simply put, there are many elements to staging a top-class musical experience. We require funds for the venue, musicians’ fees, travel and subsistence, lighting, transport/tuning of the piano, outreach workshops, printing and marketing.

To this end, we launched a new Friends Scheme in September 2025. This innovation will allow us to strengthen our development plan to ensure that high quality music will be performed in Milverton and surrounds in the years ahead.
